Behavior Smarts: Increasing Healthcare Leadership Performance

Monday, Sept 30, 2019 from 1:00pm – 4:00pm Holiday Inn Fargo, 3803 13th Ave South, Fargo, ND 58103

The North Dakota Healthcare Executives Forum, an Independent Chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), is excited to host a professional education event this fall.

Our guest faculty is Michael Frisina, founder and president of The Center for Influential Leadership in Elgin, SC. Mike has served as an Assistant Professor at the US Military Academy at West Point and has held many administration positions in military and civilian health care systems. He is an internationally known speaker and author of Influential Leadership: Change Your Behavior, Change your Organization, Change Health Care.

Influential leadership is about inspiring and motivating performance excellence at all levels of the organization by understanding and developing emotional intelligence (EQ) capacity. Many healthcare leaders do not have a clear idea of how their EQ measures up or understand why EQ is a competitive advantage for team performance. During this 3 hour program you will learn and practice the key behaviors necessary to connect with team members and build stronger personal relationships. This program identifies the cause and offers a remedy for closing the gap between consistent leadership behavior and sustained organizational performance. It focuses on the following:

  • Distinguishes four key behavior types

  • Applies the necessary attributes of self-awareness and self-management

  • Matches leading behavior types to optimize team performance

  • Discovers the power of collaboration and connection to drive performance through emotional intelligence

Who Should Attend: This seminar is designed for both seasoned healthcare leaders and leaders who are entering the healthcare field

Cost: $100 for ACHE members, $120 for non-members, and $40 for students

This event will be held the day prior to the annual NDHA convention and has been approved for 3 hours of ACHE Face-to-Face education credit.

We are grateful for the generous financial support Catholic Health Initiatives and Sanford Health have provided for this event. A special thanks to the North Dakota Hospital Association for allowing us to link our event with their annual trade show and convention.
