What is a Behance Portfolio Review evening, what should I expect?
Happening across the globe in May, Behance is on a mission to connect and empower the creative world. Portfolio Review Week was born out of a simple wish; to bring designers and creatives together, sharing their work.
It should be a fun and creative night where you can meet other designers and creatives. The format of the evening is -
- 20 minute talk from our speaker Julian Gratton
- 60 minutes of quick portfolio reviews, 3 minutes max, so hopefully you can get a number of different reviews on the night.
- Networking and drinks to conclude the evening, stick around and mingle with peers and the Review Group Leaders.
What should I bring along?
Bring along your portfolio, whether it be your physical portfolio, laptop, tablet, etc. Behance Reviews are rapid fire, you'll have 3 minutes with each reviewer so be prepared to present your best 1 or 2 pieces of work quickly and concisely. Make sure you bring business cards too.
Who can attend?
The event is open to everyone – students, amateurs, and professional designers, with a focus on the disciplines of Graphic Design, Branding, Advertising, Digital Design, UI & UX, Animation, Motion Graphics. No matter how much experience you are welcome to come along!
