"Alex McLaughlin is a Boise-based choreographer, teacher, and performer who has been working with youth and adults of the Treasure Valley for seven years. Through her exploration of various dance styles and dance environments, Alex has cultivated a deep passion for hip hop, jazz funk, and all forms of urban movement. Classes with her range from basic grooves and beginning sequencing of steps to advanced choreography centered on performance, confidence and execution. Alex is motivated by the joy and completeness dance has brought to her life and hopes to help others, regardless of their level, experience or age, find what dance can give to them in their life. "

What inspires you?

"I am inspired by the goodness I know is at the core of every person, by the innate love that each and every human being has inside. It motivates me to help that goodness reach the surface of every person I meet, and reminds me that it's what is meant to shine from within me, too. When that goodness takes over and we act from that place, everything else works as it should."
