Beginner Guitar for Adults

About this Event


Ever wanted to learn to play the guitar? Picked up an instrument recently with a desire to learn but never got around to learning the basics? This is the course for you!

During this 10 week course, Board Certified Music Therapist and Berkelee College of Music Graduate Benjamin Pernick will walk adult learners through the basic fundamental skills needed for learning to play the guitar in a small group setting via Zoom.

Students will receive guidance and direction including but not limited to topics such as finger mechanics, rhythm, melody, chords, basic music theory.

Space is limited to 10 students per week. Registrants are asked to please consider joining the full 9 weeks. Open to students with little or no experience. Age 18+ to register.


Benjamin Pernick is a Board Certified Music Therapist and graduate of Berklee College of Music who leads a variety of music-based programs. These programs include Music & Trivia, Musical Comedy Hour, Name That Tune, and Movin' to Music (exercise) for all age ranges. He performs from a repertoire of over 600 songs on guitar and saxophone in all musical genres and 8 languages, and has led energetic programs at senior living facilities, private events and sessions for youth with special needs for over 7 years.
