Description:

During this one-day intensive workshop is for brand new students who will explore the basics of acrylic painting including value, color theory/mixing and composition. This is a great opportunity for those who have never painted to get comfortable with the basics and of acrylic painting and prepare for more advanced classes. Experience the excitement of beginning your painting journey in a positive and welcoming environment.

Bring to Class: Students will supply all materials including a sketch book and sketching tools, paint, brushes, pallet, paint, along with canvases or the surface of their choice. Some reference photos and will be provided but students are encouraged to take and bring their own as well as ideas from art they have seen. Please bring a phone with a camera to aid in developing your painting and documenting your progress. Cathy will share a materials list with enrolled students.
