Beginning 3D Design: Design your own spherical ornament!
Event Information
About this Event
Learn how to use Tinkercad, a free online CAD program, to design your own ornament! Participants will be given introductory instruction to use iPads to design a spherical ornament, and will then decorate their ornaments with acrylic paints.
CAD stands for Computer Aided Design. According to AutoDesk, maker of 3D design, engineering, and construction software, their Tinkercad program is used by many engineers and other designers to carry out "mechanical design, design communication, tooling creation, and product simulation".
$5 fee includes all materials to create your own ornament to take home.
Bring your curiosity and your imagination! You may also bring your own laptop or Chromebook if you wish, however we will have iPads available to borrow. Put on by Spark4Learning and hosted by Staples Spotlight Space!
This class is for students any age, from 5-99 years of age. A parent or legal guardian must accompany any minors (and be present in the Staples store) throughout the duration of the event.
Staples Spotlight is a space dedicated to our local community. You'll find classes, workshops and seminars designed to help you pick up a new skill, expand your expertise and connect with your community. Join us for an upcoming event to learn something new.
