Beginners Mind - Week 2 of 9 - Mindfulness Based Health & Wellness

Week 2 of 9 - The Beginner's Mind introduces you to the basics of Mindfulness practice. With a beginners mind, participants begin to use and recognize simple everyday experience as a part of their mindfulness practice. Breathing, eating, walking, feeling, touching. As we become aware of our senses vs the automatic pilot, we come to know being mindful and present. Our community has an opportunity to share and introduce themselves.
The first week sets the tone for mindfulness and introduces the link between the automatic pilot, reactivity, and behaviors that don't work. We will do body scans and introduce you to exercises that encourage you to slow down, pay attention to present moment, awareness and body sensations, to gain recognition and choice
