Beginners programming sessions targeted at working up through basic concepts through to more complex ideas.
Introduction to Python shell
Interactive scripting commands
Building a source file
Hello World
Variables
Expressions
Loops
Operators
Conditionals
Functions
Classes (possibly)
GPIO - Basic Hardware interaction -> If time I2C communication
The sessions will come with a worksheet which will be available online after the sessions have run so participants can go back over content after the sessions have completed and redo/build upon examples shown.
Preparation Required:
Will require a Raspberry Pi with a copy of Raspian installed and don’t forget your power supply. If you need help uploading Raspian to your SD card go to the drop-in centre before the workshop starts. University of Bristol students are on hand to help you trouble shoot any start-up issues you are having.
