You'll get online and hands-on experience, learn about hive maintenance, and discover how to care for your buzzing friends. Perfect for anyone curious about starting their own hive. No fuss, just fun and practical tips to get you started!
This course combines a theoretical and practical programme over nine weeks.By the end of the course you should be in a great place to begin your own beekeeping journey.
The theory part of the programme will be delivered via Zoom over nine weeks on a Tuesday night. These sessions will prepare you for the practical part of the course which takes place over six Thursday evenings.
Dates and times:
- theory sessions - Tuesday 7-8:30 p.m. via Zoom. May 19th - July 14th
- practical sessions - Thursday 7-8:30 p.m. Beverley apiary. June 4th - 9 July
For the pactical course full protective clothing will be provided. The sessions will run at the association's apiary in Beverley.
The cost for this course is just £200. There is also a requirement that you join the association as a full member in order to receive the insurance provided as well as other benefits. This will need to be paid separately
