Event description

Starting to code can be intimidating.

That's why Galvanize created a JavaScript fundamentals meetup that includes online content with over 30 hours of information, exercises, and projects. You don't have to go it alone. Instructional staff and fellow coders meet every Tuesday at Galvanize to go over questions and work through exercises and concepts.

JavaScript is the language of the web, and the skills you will learn through this curriculum are in high demand for future developers, designers, and marketers. Level up your skills with our meetup and online content.

What You’ll Learn:

By the end of this workshop, you will learn:

  • How to program efficiently in JavaScript using: variables, arrays, objects, etc.

  • Working with loops and evaluating conditions

  • Working with functions to create complex code

*Attendance of at least one live session is required in order to get started. The date you select when you register is the date of orientation and your first lesson. After that, you can continue with the online content and come to the meetups as needed. If you are unable to get to our Austin location, please contact to discuss other options for learning to code.
