Greater Twin Cities United Way is hosting a "Beginner Board Boot Camp" for community leaders interested in nonprofit board service. Board service is a great way to give back, build leadership skills and lend professional expertise. Board members play a key role making a difference in our community while gaining invaluable professional skills.
In this introductory session you will learn:
- Benefits of board service
- Three fiduciary duties you're legally liable for as a board member
- Five roles and responsibilities of good board members
Dinner and Networking: 5:30-5:45 p.m.
Presentation and Q&A session: 5:45-7:30 p.m.
This training session will be led by Jennifer Kramm of MAP for Nonprofits.
