If you have not sewn since your school days or just want to refresh your skills in order to take up quilting this is a class for you. The class is designed to give you enough knowledge to make good choices on purchasing your tools and how to safely and correctly use them. While learning the skills you’ll construct a doll size quilt/wall hanging from your fabrics or a purchase in class. You’ll need to bring your own sewing machine.
*Note: Fabric and Batting available for purchase during class.
Instructor: Liz Belina served on the Adult Ed board, as a 4-H leader, and a County Fair Supervisor in the textile area. She belongs to the quilt groups Seams, Heritage Quilters of Southern Minn., Peacemakers of Owatonna, and BAG Ladies of Rochester. Her quilts have been displayed at the Rochester quilt show, a one man show at the Paradise Theater in Faribault, and many times at the Owatonna Art Center. Liz is currently retired but continues to give presentations on quilts for the Heritage Quilters annual fund raiser, church groups, and through Eagle Bluff Scholarship fund raiser.
