Beethoven's complete works for cello and piano - April 13 & 14 @ 7:30pm

Join us in the Pompeian Room of the Doheny Mansion as two of the world’s finest musicians embark on a rare performance of Beethoven’s complete works for cello and piano. Cellist Andrew Shulman, whose remarkable career has included first chair positions with the London Philharmonia Orchestra and the LA Phil, is a founding member of the New Hollywood String Quartet and a professor of cello performance at USC. Pianist Fabio Bidini has performed and recorded with the world’s premiere orchestras and ensembles and is currently endowed chair at the Colburn Conservatory of Music. He will accompany Prof. Shulman on The Da Camera Society’s recently-restored Pleyel piano.

A masterpiece of Gilded-Age architecture, the Doheny Mansion’s Pompeian room features an iridescent Tiffany glass dome, elegant art glass panels, Tuscan marble Corinthian columns and a geometrically-patterned floor.
