Event description

Description

As part of this year's PDX Beer Week festivities, we are working with StormBreaker Brewing to host the second annual Beer Quest and Mini Beer Fest! This will be a casual but competitive beer "quest" involving many of the North Portland area breweries, tentatively including Ecliptic Brewing, Hopworks Urban Brewery, Lompoc Brewing, Widmer Brothers Brewing, Stormbreaker Brewing, Labrewatory Old Town, and Ex Novo Brewing.

Starting at 10:00 am, you will make your way to each of the participating breweries to get a hole punch in your beer quest card. There is no set route, so how you get there is up to you! Run/bike/walk/unicycle/pogo stick, doesn't matter. (Just make sure you get your cards punched by 11:15.)

Miles covered will be roughly a 5K. Once you get your card filled out, head back to StormBreaker and redeem your beer quest card to get tasters for the beer fest. Each hole punch is redeemable for one 4 oz pour of that brewery's beer. Gain points along the way to become the Beer Quest Champ!

Ticket includes entry, event taster glass, 8 taster tix, event T-shirt, live music and tons of fun!

10% of our proceeds help support our nonprofit partners, the Oregon Brewshed Alliance, Dollar For Portland, and Life Vest Inside.

About the Run

We like to keep things relaxed, so this may be different than other “races” you’ve done. We don't keep track of your finish time, and you won’t get a medal when you finish. Instead of closing down the streets, we ensure a safe and fun running route on sidewalks, through parks, and along trails!

Course "Map" coming soon!

Parking

Parking is a little tricky at StormBreaker. Arrive a few minutes early and look for spots in the surrounding neighborhood. Public transportation may also be a good option, depending on where you live. We always encourage carpooling and safe, designated drivers.

Look for our informational email closer to the event. We will remind you of these details and share anything else you might need to know.

Cheers!

About StormBreaker Brewing

"StormBreaker is a little-known nickname for Mt. Hood, the majestic 11,000-foot volcano that casts its shadow on Portland every sunrise. We brew our beer like Mt. Hood breaks storms coming off the Pacific Ocean, head on with intensity. Whether you are looking for big hoppy IPA like Cloud Ripper, a fruity lighter option like When I Froot..., a pale ale that is Right as Rain, or pretty much any style, we've got you covered. We love our pub on Mississippi Avenue and meeting everyone that comes in! Welcome to StormBreaker Brewing, winner of an unknown amount of 4th place finishes at many a beer competitions and a gold here and there."
