With a career at George Mason University spanning over 20 years, Buz Grover has worked in numerous roles around Mason that have left him uniquely situated to take on challenges like managed print and policies and procedures surrounding minors on campus. From his first job at Mason as a scheduler in University events, to a classroom support tech, computer lab manager, IT operations manager, and Administrative Officer at the Smithsonian-Mason School of Conservation, he has a thorough understanding of operational needs across the institution. Currently Buz serves as the Associate Director for Contracts and Special Projects in Mason’s Auxiliary Enterprises department.

As part of his role as Associate Director, Buz was tasked in 2015 with coordinating Mason’s efforts to embrace best practices regarding minors on campus. He has created a standardized policy and procedure through his work with policy stakeholders, service providers, and the programs, events, and camps occurring on GMU’s campus. As a result, Buz has been asked to present both regionally and nationally to the American Camp Association, of which he is a member, and is considered a Subject Matter Expert in the topic of camps on campus. He is also a member of the Higher Education Prevention Network.

Buz is a Fellow with the Cave Research Foundation and an avid outdoorsman and martial artist. Father of three children, he lives with his wife on a mountaintop near the Appalachian Trail, about 60 miles west of DC.
