One of my early mentors says, “If you want to have a different outcome, you have to BE a different person.” At first, I took a bit of offense at that statement: I actually liked who I already was. But as I came to understand more of his work, I discovered he was absolutely right. You cannot apply the same thinking and strategies that got you to this level when you are trying to get to the next level.

Getting to the next level in your practice means that you must see the world, and yourself in a different way. Many therapists come to me for help on marketing skills and techniques, and I very quickly learn that it’s not about skills or techniques for them. It’s about helping them build the right mindset for success. I have a friend who is a personal trainer, and she says, “You can’t out-exercise a bad diet.” Well, the same holds true for practice-building: “You can’t out-market a limiting mindset.”

Because this is such an important topic, I’ve invited one of the best speakers I know to help you build the mindest you need for success: Gina Bender. Gina is the founder of The Reinvention Studio, and is an expert on guiding people through the inner work required to reach their goals.
