Event description

Description

Dr. Campt, a nationally recognized black facilitator teaches how to combine empathy, persuasion, storytelling, and a Catholic spiritual foundation to become a better personal force for dismantling racism one conversation at a time. And the workship itself is even fun!

We Know that

  • Racism is real but many people around us don’t
  • Confronting it doesn’t work—ignoring and avoiding it empower it.
  • Compassion-based ways to advocating for change are an important Catholic tradition
  • White allies and people committed to social justice can move the needle with the right strategies. Lean how to
  1. Engage in curiosity about what kind of ally you are
  2. Learn a method to Reflect, Ask a follow up question, Connect with a Story of your own, and Extpand the relationship to a racism skeptic in your life.
  3. Connect with Catholic teaching that will help fuel and sustain your journey towards more effective anti-racist allyship.
  4. Develop a plan for how to prioritize your work as a white ally and potentially connect to others in your community through a Praxis Group
