  • Identify key characteristics of healthy house church dynamics and leadership

Sessions Include

Session 1: Why House Churches - Why Now? In the landscape that is evolving in the wake of COVID-19 smaller, lighter and more flexible models may be a strong option of gathered and sent communities on mission. Our first session is an introduction to house churches as a viable expression of church. We will explore the biblical, theological, and historical framework for house churches.

Session 2: Paradigm Shifts This session will dive into the paradigm shifts for leaders of churches transitioning to a house church structure. We will spend time thinking through the unlearning curve for the leader and congregation as we re-frame the word “church”. This also will look into how to train, equip, multiply and support house church leaders.

Session 3: Formation, Community, and Mission This session will take a deep dive into resources for formation(discipleship), community, and mission. Practical applications for how to structure the meetings, including times and opportunities for service. We will also talk about kids and family and house church leadership.

Session 4: Growth, Health, and Multiplication The final session will take a look at multiplication strategies. We will also tie up loose ends and talk about what health looks like and the pitfalls that one may face. Our time will end with questions, prayer and a charge.
