Because of Black Music I AM (BOBM)
Because of Black Music I AM (BOBM) is a conversation piece exploring the impact of Black Music within the Bay Area and beyond. In June 2023 we will hold our first music festival in Oakland, Ca.
Our monthly Game Night is a safe space for folks to gather, have fun and play new and traditional games. Expect to exchange Black joy through conversation, music, and a little competition.
Game Night is a way for us to gather and lay our burdens down. It's light fun with good folk. Just like the ancestors taught us.
Come play Domino's, Black Music trivia, Scrabble, Bidwhist, Uno, Connect four, Spades, Chess, and more... The vibe is chill like being at your cool aunties house. There's always laughter, good people, music, food, and someone talkin' that talk. All ages are welcome, folks 17 and under should come with an adult. Wheelchair accessible.
This month we will have a Bidwhist tutorial from 6-9 pm.
Game Night is at "Ase Arts" in Oakland, CA. 6 pm-9 pm, every 2nd Wednesday of the month through June 2023.
Tickets are $5-$25 ($5,$10,$15, etc…) No one turned away for lack of funds. Space is limited.
