This hands-on workshop focuses on developing the skill to free flow with rope. You will learn to exercise proper technique and tension in your tying as you practice a way to cinch the rope into an aesthetic pattern.
This class is aimed toward students who have taken our intro class "Bonds of Love" or have previous basic rope knowledge and can tie a single & double column tie proficiently.
A couple notes about the class:
- This class should be attended in pairs.
- We provide the rope for people to practice with.
- People should come dressed comfortably, to tie and be tied.
- Those who will be tied should wear tight fitting, comfortable clothes (loose stuff gets in the way!)
About the presenter:
Kanso is a teacher, performer and visual artist of Japanese rope bondage (Shibari). In 2010 he met True Blue and together they created Bondage Erotique with the intent of introducing a more sensual and intimate approach to rope bondage. He has taught and performed across the U.S. and has been the resident rope instructor at the SF Armory for the last 3 years, offering a year-long Shibari training program, among other classes and events.
