About the Outing Leader

Debbie Klein is a professional architect. On breaks from her architectural career, Debbie spends a lot of time in the woods, getting familiar with the many species of mushrooms and slime molds. She volunteers at local mushroom events photographing and documenting species collected. At local labs she works with microscopy and gets PCR and sequencing for more specific information on unusual mushrooms she finds, helping to expand the knowledge of local species.
