Beacon Hill Home Tour and Cocktail Party
Event Information
Description
This walking tour begins at Robert Quackenbush, Jr.'s Studio Q and travels through the northwest corridor of Beacon Hill, where you will experience a renaissance of contemporary architecture. This is an evening of art and achitecture you don't want to miss.
In the early 1900’s, the section of Beacon Hill, Troost Avenue from 26th to 31st Street, was known as Millionaire’s Row. Residents at the time included George Kemper, founder of Commerce Bank, T. T. Crittenden, former Kansas City mayor and former Missouri governor, and George Peck, who owned Peck’s Department Store.
Don't miss this opportunity to step into one of KC's historic neighborhoods and enjoy contemporary architechture...and make some new friends along the way!
Hosts: Merry and Robert Quackenbush, Jr., Jane and Randy Kietzman and Paul Milakovich
All monies raised through the FLAVOR! Series will go toward building new, innovative programming for Thrive Health Connection (formerly Good Samaritan Project), supporting those living with HIV/AIDS and the broader LGBTQI and allied community.
