You are cordially invited to join the staff and trustees of Beacon Christian Community Health Center as we celebrate our 10th year of providing whole-person care to thousands of medically underserved men, woman and children on Staten island.
Join us along with other Staten Islanders and metro area residents, healthcare professionals, businesspeople and State officials to honor two of our community’s most significant leaders and those who helped them succeed.
In 2006, Drs. David and Janet Kim founded Beacon Community Health Center in Staten Island’s largest medically underseved community. They wanted to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the neediest citizens there. They were assisted by several other Islanders, including the late Vincent Pompa.
By attending this celebration, you will be supporting community healthcare and helping another 4,000 people to access high quality care. The majority of your gift will be tax-deductible and will make an immediate impact on the lives of the thousands of people living in medically underserved areas on Staten Island.
In addition to the underserved of the community, some patients include Staten Islanders who could afford to go anywhere but love David and Janet’s brand of relationship-based medicine.
“The future of this island belongs to all of us,” says Congressman Dan Donovan, representing the 11th district of New York, “and nobody exemplifies the spirit of community service better than Doctors David and Janet. The Gala will be a celebration of the great work they have done over the last 10 years!"
The Center has immediate plans to add capacity for another 4,000 patients — growing by 50% in the next 12 months and closing in on its goal of reaching all of Mariner’s Harbor. Tax deductible proceeds from the dinner will go toward this worthy goal.
Reservations for this gala event—with dinner, dancing and entertainment—are available now at three levels. I’m sure you will want to be a part of this heartwarming event, so make your reservations now by clicking on the "Tickets" link.
The evening will start with a cocktail reception in the Trevi Garden, followed by dinner and dancing in the Persimmon ballroom.
