Weekly Beach Yoga Swansea Bay with Womankind Yoga

About this event

After our lives have been turned upside down to such a massive degree and restrictions put on doing so many things that we love due to the pandemic - so we are absolutely over the moon to announce that guidelines from the Welsh Government now allow Womankind Yoga to run our beloved Beach Yoga Classes, starting on Monday, May 3, running until the end of August.

This is our 7th year running our community-based Beach Yoga classes on Swansea Bay, near the Observatory Tower. They are taught by Experienced Yoga Teacher (Yoga Alliance), Helen Wilson, 500hrs.

I'm currently scheduling sessions on Monday and Tuesday nights, additional sessions will be added to meet demand where possible.

Book via Eventbrite link

Classes are still donation only - but please donate at the time of booking your place, to avoid the need to exchange cash.

Limited numbers

Because Beach Yoga has historically attracted such large crowds, the sessions scheudled this year have to be booked in advance so numbers can be limited to 30 people per class.

Our policy is that a full refund will be given if you give notice that you can't attend the class by 12 noon on the day in question. This allows your place to be allocated to someone on the waiting list. Cancellations after 12 noon on the day of the class and non-attendance will not be refunded.

Keeping safe

In order to keep everyone as safe as possibile and in-line with restrictions due to Covid-19 please bring your own hand sanitizer and do not attend if you are experiencing any symptoms of coronavirus. Please bring your own mat or towel to sit on and place it at least 2 meters apart from anyone else.

Further information

We meet on the beach by the Observatory Tower. Please call Helen on 07581 005605 if you have any questions.

Classes are weather dependant. If the class is cancelled due to forecast of heavy winds and/or rain, you will be notified by the morning of the class at the latest and an full refund of your donation will be issued.

Please do not attend if you have any of the following symptoms

- high temperature: this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)

- a new, continuous cough: this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)

a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste: this means you've noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal

If you develop one of these symptoms, you should:

- follow the self-isolation guidance

- apply for a coronavirus test

The COVID-19 online symptom checker (on NHS 111 Wales) can tell you if you need medical help.
