Beach Clean-up At Lori Wilson Park
Overview
Join us on December 13th from 10 AM to 12 PM for a coastal clean-up at Lori Wilson Park — a morning where we roll up our sleeves, learn a bit about our coastline, and make a real impact together.
This stretch of beach is beautiful, but it’s also a hotspot for litter and stormwater runoff. When trash gets caught in the dunes or washed into the surf, it can break down into microplastics, harm wildlife, and affect water quality along the Atlantic. Cleanups like this help remove debris before it reaches the ocean, protect sea turtles and shorebirds, and keep our coastline healthy for everyone who loves it.
We’ll spend the morning collecting litter, caring for the dunes, and getting a closer look at how coastal ecosystems protect us from erosion and storm impacts. It’s meaningful work — but also a fun way to get outside, meet new people, and do something positive for our beaches.
All ages welcome. Bring a friend, bring some good energy, and we’ll provide all the supplies.
A little time together makes a big difference for our shoreline.
See you on the sand!
