On a physical level, yin yoga aims at exercising our deeper, denser connective tissues (fascia) through stretching and stressing them in long-held passive poses. It is believed that our meridians run along these connective tissues and so by exercising them, we also improve our overall well-being. On the mental and psychological levels, yin practise offers us a chance to be introspective and learn to surrender. It can calms our mind and emotions, giving us space to heal. Suitable for students of every level and physical condition.
