A Surf Coast education event not to be missed! Folk dance your way into a new millenium of education!

Join the "World's Coolest Teacher" Shaun McGurgan (former long-term president of Silkwood School and curriculum manager of Bali's Green School) for an introductory three day seminar in Holistic and Child Centred Education. (Parents with children welcome.)

Modern schooling and educational systems worldwide are undergoing a paradigm shift. To support the implementation of holistic learning in the Surf Coast Shire of Victoria, Australia, and beyond, International Holistic Education Practitioner and Mentor Shaun McGurgan is touring here to give a special lecture series over three days in January 2017.

This course is suitable for teachers, school administrators and homeschoolers. Shaun loves incorporating Folk Dance into his workshops, so bring your dancing spirit.

Nine sessions will be held over three days, and will be dellivered in a fully resourced, discursive style

Is there an age limit to enter the event?

Children are free. Parents remain responsible for children at all times. There may be some activities however we can't guarantee.

On Days 1 and 2, children will have access to an undercover sandpit and play area. There is also an external bmx bike track and skate park for older children. Parents are responsible for their children at all times.

On Day 3 young children will have access to inside activities and older children to a small playground.

Where is there to eat?

On Days 1 and 2, we are a short walk from th boutique country cafe Ravens Creek Farm. On Day 3, we will have access to the food the coastal town of Torquay has to offer.

What can/can't I bring to the event?

There will be seating, however please bring whatever makes you comfortable (i.e cushion). Bring lunch and snacks. Bring bikes or scooters for older children on Days 1 and 2.
