Event description

Description

Social workers, therapists, and other human services professionals encounter conflict on a daily basis, which can create discomfort both personally and professionally. Effective conflict resolution is grounded in empowerment, self-determination, non-judgment, and social justice. When conflict is managed effectively, human service providers create opportunities for hope, healing, and stronger relationships.

5 hours (.5 units) of CEU credit via Western Carolina University included in registration fee for licensed professionals.

You will leave this workshop with:

  • A greater understanding of how your personal approach to conflict influences your professional approach
  • Fresh strategies for identifying the values and interests at the root of conflict
  • More confidence to help clients resolve conflict in their lives
  • Tools for working productively with court-ordered or resistant clients

Please e-mail training@mediatewnc.org for a special rate for staff of local nonprofits.
