Calling everyone who likes to grow their own food or would like to learn how to grow their own vegetables, herbs, and/or fruit! Join us for the Be Healthy: Grow Your Own Food four-class series beginning on Monday, June 19th from 6-8 pm (meeting for four consecutive Mondays) and ending on July 10th. Learn how to grow vegetables, culinary herbs, and fruit, in the ground or in containers, along with sprouts, micro-greens, and D.I.Y hydroponic lettuce. Participants will also learn how to grow transplants from seed and cuttings plus, how to grow nutrient-dense food. The topics that will be covered in the four classes include: Propagating Plants from Seeds and Cuttings; Container Gardening; Nurture the Soil; and Strategies for Pest Control.
Each ticket includes a notebook with PowerPoint slides and additional handouts, and some seeds of a few heirloom vegetables, culinary herbs, and flowers. It doesn't matter if you have a huge yard or just a balcony, everyone can grow their own nutritious food! Couples, friends, and families (parents, bring your kids) can attend the class together and just pay for one ticket if they want to share the notebook and seeds.
There are two options for the tickets, either in person or via Zoom. With two classes available each Monday, both in-person and via Zoom, you can attend whichever class (morning or evening) whichever way (in-person or Zoom) would work best for you each Monday. So, one way or another, you can learn how to grow your own nutritious food! Recordings of the classes will also be available for viewing after each class on a private YouTube channel.
The cost of the class is just $45.
