Plan! Market! Work! Succeed!

Are you a salon owner or cosmetologist striving to market and grow your business but struggle with knowing the steps to get started? The Be About The Business Workshops are hands on classes designed to help the professional stylist, barber, make up artist or nail technician with a plan for developing strategies to grow their business. Come ready to work and leave with a master plan for success!

TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 28 | 9AM -2PM

Workshop 1: Salon Owners 101

Key Basics for Successful Salon Ownership

Owning a salon requires a skill set that supercedes cutting and coloring hair. Most salon owners are talented, creative and artistic behind the chair but find it challenging to manage the business of the salon. In this class, you will identify what type of salon owner you want to be and develop a strategic business plan to making the salon a success!

Workshop 2: Web Sites, Search Engines, Online Directories, and Online Booking

Understanding Web Site Fundamentals & Design

Having a functional and appealing web site is crucial to attracting new clients to your business. Web sites tell your  business story to potential clients when you are unavailable to do so in person! In this class, you will learn why having a web site is important, the key components to a successful web site and how to create and manage your own desktop and mobile web site.

Creating a Strong Online Reputation

Once your web site is designed, you must implement ways to drive traffic to it. Statistics show that when potential clients are ready to make a purchase for a good or service, they begin their search on the internet! In this class, you will learn how to create a strong online reputation with the use of search engines, online directories and online appointment scheduling.
