His innovative leadership stems from his laser-focused attention on four goals — increasing access, improving quality, ensuring affordability and promoting economic development. Dr. Houshmand will discuss how Rowan University has transformed from a well-respected state school to a national Top 100 public research university in only 10 years. Rowan’s doubling of student enrollment and employees over this period, attraction of more than $385 million in research awards, and its $1.7 billion in construction projects completed and in design makes Rowan one of the most important economic drivers throughout the region.
