Fun With Math!
Students in 5th through 8th graders are encouraged to attend BCS's Julia Robinson Mathematics Festival. This is an event whose mission is inspire students to explore the richness and beauty of mathematics through activities that encourage collaborative, creative problem-solving by providing problems, puzzles, and activities that are intriguing and accessible.
The BCS Julia Robinson festival will be held on January 23, from 9:30-12:00pm at the BCS North Campus MPR. Students do not need to attend the entire event. To learn more about the the origins of the Julia Robinson Mathematics Festival, check out their website at http://juliarobinsonmathfestival.org/.
So that we can support all students and make the event engaging for all, we are limiting the number of students who can attend to 100 students. To register your child for the event, choose "Student" from the ticket options. The event costs $10 to attend.
We are also looking for volunteers to help with the event. If you are interested in helping, there will be a one hour training session from 8:30-9:30am in the BCS north MPR before the festival starts. To volunteer, select "Adult Volunteer" from the ticket options.
