BCO 10th Annual Travel Planning Party

January 25 at 6:30 PM - 9 PM

Nouveau Antique Art Bar

2913 Main St, Houston, Texas 77002

We are shaking it up a little this year and holding a "Planning Party" before we unveil the final Trips for 2018! Over this last year, we have had so many members say they would like to lead a trip and then say "Do you think anyone will go"? We think the best way to find out is to ask! There are about 30+ trips that have been suggested for 2018 and even into 2019. We're going to showcase all the trips and let you pick. Plan on worldwide adventures and quite a few stateside and even Texas wide. We've heard it all and love what we're hearing.

Come out, find out, vote and then...

Pack your bags, find your passport, and if you don’t have a travel companion – don’t worry – we’ve got you covered! There are always plenty of fun, BCO adventurers up for a jaunt!

In 2017 we went to Spain, Scotland, Isle of Skye, Ireland, Ecuador, Nepal, Iceland. We skied Colorado, we hiked in Colombia, Big Bend, California, and backpacked Texas and the Pacific Northwest. Plus, we included jaunts to Oregon, Napa, Belize, Smoky Mountains and the Grand Canyon to name just a few!

My, what can 2018 have in store for Bayou City Outdoors to top these?

We’ll be showcasing some of our newest trips tonight. Here’s a quick sneak peek: skiing Steamboat, a retreat in Costa Rica, hiking and touring in New Zealand, biking in Netherlands, backpacking in Grand Canyon, wine tasting in Baja, Halloween in Dracula's castle in Romania, hanging out in the Hill Country at our Rock Out Weekend, and exploring Texas with our new weekend series! (These are only the trips we’re leaking to press right now- there’s more to come!)

Join us this evening to learn about all the travel adventures 2018 has to offer.

You will get all the details on almost all of the 2018 trips planned. You’ll meet the trip leaders, connect with travel companions, and make some awesome new friends. All you have to do is sign up for the trips you want, grab your passport, pack your camera, and plan on adventuring with BCO – see you on the road!

PARKING: there is parking in the lot, if we run out there is parking across the street and on the street! We will have a food truck on hand for dinner & snacks, and Nouveau Antique Art Bar is a full bar and full of Tiffany lamps!

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

Typically most BCO events are for adults.  But, we do love kids.  If you believe your child is capable of keeping up with the group, no problem.  AND if this is a bike ride they MUST wear a helmet.  Questions?  Contact us at

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

We add parking details to the Event descriptions.

What can/can't I bring to the event?

If the temperature is above 80 or it very clearly says "No Dogs" then please don't bring your dog.  We LOVE dogs and only make this rule if we feel there could be a safety concern (for the dogs of course:).

BIKE: If it is a bike ride: Bring a helmet or borrow one from us.  Helmets are the single most important piece of gear you can have on a bike ride.  Anyway, any time you are wearing a helmet you must be having fun!

Bring water.  Frequently our events are in the woods or out of the way.  Water is important.

HIKE: If it is a hiking event wear comfortable shoes.  Athletic shoes, hiking boots, running shoes, just be sure your feet will be happy.

SOCIAL: If it is a social event?  Wear whatever YOU feel comfortable in.  We are an eclectic mix of people with all types of interests and jobs.  People will come straight from work in a suit or jeans, straight from running or working out, and some of us even come cleaned up straight from the shower!  (and everything in between)

Where can I contact the organizer with any questions? or 713-524 3567

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

Can I update my registration information?

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Printed ticket or download the EventBright app and bring it on your phone.

What is the refund policy?

Refunds up until 48 hours before.  Or, better yet, get some goodwill by sharing your ticket with a friend.  They will love you even more after all the fun they had at the BCO event!

The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?

Yes - see love & friendship above!
