BOSTON COMEDY ARTS FESTIVAL
The 2016 Boston Comedy Arts Festival covers 3 stages and features Improv, Sketch, and StandUp Comedy.

Thursday, September 8 @ 8:00pm, Studio Theater

Featured Acts:

Jenny Young
"Jenny Young is a New York based comedian from Los Angeles. She has performed all over the country and in clubs such as the Comedy Store in Hollywood and Caroline's on Broadway, and is a regular at the New York Comedy Club. Catch her sleeping on a subway train near you!"

Kate Sisk
"Kate Sisk is a comedian living and performing in New York City. She performs stand-up at clubs around the city, and also performs as a Lloyd night improviser at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater with her team "Blush." When she's not onstage, Kate is working on her next musical, contributing jokes to Funny or Die, or scaring cats off her roof. "

Ryan Shane Singer
"Ryan Shane Singer is an urban planner with over a decade of experience. In 2015 Ryan made the jump from playing community board meetings and city council hearings to stand-up where there are fewer hecklers. A gay, white guy living in the South Bronx, Ryan rides a unicorn, knows a Sasquatch and brings a perspective on life, news, politics and public transit that is both accessible and different. Ryan has trained at the American Comedy Institute in New York City with Stephen Rosenfield, Lexi Cullen-Baker and Andrew Ginsberg. He’s appeared at Gotham Comedy Club, Broadway Comedy Club, Eastville Comedy Club, The 13th Street Comedy Show and The Triple Crown Ale House. Find out why the New York Times called Ryan, “…some City bureaucrat.”"

V Lince
"Up and Coming comedian from New York. I've been performing stand-up comedy for five years at some of New York's finest clubs including Broadway Comedy Club, Gotham Comedy Club and New York Comedy Club. I recently performed at The Black Friday Comedy Marathon in Philadelphia and currently host the Laughing Buddha Ladies Mic. My next venture is branching onto the road."

Ellen Sugarman
"Brookline's own Ellen Sugarman! Ellen is new to the Boston comedy scene but her quirky outrageous take on every day topics is quickly winning over audiences all over the city. Ellen was chosen as one of Boston Rising stars for the 2016 Women in Comedy Month. "

What's Funny About Public Health (George Annas)
"Public health is usually an entirely serious subject that aims to save lives--but in the hands of a lifetime practitioner of public health in Boston its light-hearted aspects will remake your vision of this stodgy endeavor to keep Bostonians safe from Zika, Mixed Martial Arts, and fattening foods."

Brian O'Sullivan: Singing Comedian
"Brian O'Sullivan is a singing comedian from Los Angeles, California. Inspired by artists, "Weird Al" Yankovic, Stephen Lynch, and The Bloodhound Gang, O'Sullivan uses clever lyrics and catchy tunes to deliver his punchlines. Brian has performed in over 500 shows across the country, and in 2015, he was voted "Roommate of the Year" by his two roommates."

Jackie Skinner
"Jackie Skinner is a boisterous, brassy, late-20-something comedian who brings her perspective on life to life with her wacky observances, eccentric facial expressions, and boisterous act-outs. Her contagious high-energy, volume, and jolly tone of her set differentiates the performance from your typical stand-up act. Between coping with childhood obesity, coworkers who sound like power tools, and a Catholic up-bringing, audiences always find a laugh. She's a Bostonian who's bounced around the U.S., living and performing stand-up in San Francisco, Austin, and now Brooklyn. She currently lives in NYC where she continues to write and perform stand-up and sketch comedy, and studies improv and musical improv at the Magnet Theater."
