Chris Post

With a lifetime of bizarre experiences and a penchant for putting his foot in his mouth, Chris’s comedy is the story a regular guy who spends every day trying to become a slightly better person. Results have varied.

Magnet Touring Company

New York, NY

The Magnet Theater is New York City’s home to some of the best improvisational comedy in the country. For over 5 years Magnet has quietly amassed a loyal fan base to its storefront theater just South of Madison Square Garden. It’s packed nearly every night with an audience eager to see shows consistently recommended as top picks by Time Out New York, The Onion, and other critics that matter.

The Magnet Theater Touring Company brings the very best up-and-coming comedic talent to you; to your school, your theater, your organization. The Magnet Touring Cast consists of some faces you may recognize, and others about whom you’ll certainly be able to say, “I saw them when.”

Jonathan Katz is an American comedian, actor, and voice actor best known for his starring role in the animated sitcom Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist. He produces a podcast titled Hey, We're Back and can be heard on Explosion Bus.

Aparna Nancherla

Washington, D.C.

Aparna Nancherla is delighted you are here. She’s usually in New York herself. She’s a comedian of the stand-up variety, but can often be seen sitting. Last year, she released her debut album, Just Putting It Out There, on Tig Notaro’s new label, Bentzen Ball Records, as well as recording a half hour special for Comedy Central.

Currently, you can see her on HBO’s Crashing, and the new seasons of both Master of None and Love, both on Netflix. She also popped up on the most recent season of Inside Amy Schumer. You can also catch Aparna on the upcoming Comedy Central show, Corporate. Aparna was named one of “The 50 Funniest People Right Now” by Rolling Stone, as well as one of the “25 Best Comedians of 2016” by Paste Magazine.

Aparna most recently wrote for Late Night with Seth Meyers on NBC, as well as Debate Wars on Seeso. In addition, she currently hosts the long-running popular underground New York comedy show, Whiplash at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater on Monday nights at 11 p.m.

She also made an absurdist web series with comedy diamond parade Jo Firestone called Womanhood for Refinery29, as well as a comedic self-help podcast called Blue Woman Group with the funniest and most transcendent depresso maven around, Jacqueline Novak.

Aparna’s sense of humor tends toward the dry, observational variety, but do be warned, her act runs rampant with absurdism and premeditated whimsy.

Content Disclaimer

Given the ridiculously fun and unpredictable nature of improv, we can't guarantee age appropriateness (every audience gives different suggestions); we recommend Mainstage for those who enjoy PG-13 comedy. If possible profanity and riskier subject matter isn't your thing or you'd prefer not to enable your kids' uncouth tendencies, we highly recommend the Family Show and All Access Improv.
