Event Details

The 2016 Boston Comedy Arts Festival covers 3 stages and features Improv, Sketch, and StandUp Comedy.

Friday, September 9 @ 8:30pm, Studio Theater
Featured Acts:

CD Schultz
"CD Schultz is a stand up comedian and filmmaker from Philadelphia, PA. He’s known for his awkward, deadpan delivery of embarrassing confessions, oddball observations, and some of the strangest solutions to society’s most important problems. CD’s a winner of the bi-annual Philadelphia Comedy Academy “Best Stand-Up” contest, hosted by Helium Comedy Club Philadelphia. He’s also been selected to perform at the 2016 Laughing Devil Comedy Festival in NYC, Charm City Comedy Festival in Baltimore, MD, and the Highlarious Comedy Festival in Seattle, WA."
Jackie Skinner
"Jackie Skinner is a boisterous, brassy, late-20-something comedian who brings her perspective on life to life with her wacky observances, eccentric facial expressions, and boisterous act-outs. Her contagious high-energy, volume, and jolly tone of her set differentiates the performance from your typical stand-up act. Between coping with childhood obesity, coworkers who sound like power tools, and a Catholic up-bringing, audiences always find a laugh. She's a Bostonian who's bounced around the U.S., living and performing stand-up in San Francisco, Austin, and now Brooklyn. She currently lives in NYC where she continues to write and perform stand-up and sketch comedy, and studies improv and musical improv at the Magnet Theater."
John Sartori
"John Sartori is a comic based in New York City. He has been performing stand up, sketch, and improv comedy in and around NYC for years, and has written and performed at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre for shows such as Maude Night, Characters Welcome, and That's Bullshit! He also makes videos with his appropriately named group: VDO BROS. He can beat anybody in that Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon game because he was once an extra on The Following and got to stand right next to Kevin while putting down his backpack."
Kate Sisk
"Kate Sisk is a comedian living and performing in New York City. She performs stand-up at clubs around the city, and also performs as a Lloyd night improviser at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater with her team "Blush." When she's not onstage, Kate is working on her next musical, contributing jokes to Funny or Die, or scaring cats off her roof. "
Krista Atkinson
"Krista grew up in Southern Illinois where the cows and corn are plentiful. As soon as she possibly could she got out of all that fresh air to pursue the life of a Chicago city gal. Don’t let her classy outfits and heels fool you– she has a potty-mouth! Divorce, d**k pics, dating, and dashed dreams: it's all fair game for this brassy, brazen, bawdy blonde who has lived a full life and has a lot to say about it.
Since her move to Chicago, Krista has trained in improv at The Second City and The Annoyance and stand-up with Feminine Comique. Krista has performed all over the world at places including Zanies Comedy Clubs, Laugh Factory, Chicago Women's Funny Festival, SheDot Festival in Toronto, UP Comedy Club at Second City, and Broadway Comedy Club and Greenwich Village Comedy Club in NYC. She has toured LA on the JDA Does LA Tour, NYC on the JDA Does NYC Tour, and the Midwest on the Rainbow Connections Comedy Tour."
Nicole Conlan
"Nicole Conlan (UCB, SB Nation) and Rollie Williams (MTV, Annoyance) grew up two blocks away from each other in Colorado. Now they can be seen performing around New York -- and occasionally in Denver -- as Stevedore Comedy. Nicole and Rollie have been featured on Splitsider, Funny or Die, the Huffington Post, and, weirdly, WorldStarHipHop. They’ve appeared at SF Sketchfest, Hell Yes Fest, the Del Close Marathon, Boston Comedy Arts Festival, Denver Improv Festival, North Carolina Comedy Arts Festival, SteelStacks Improv Festival, and the Hartford Improv Festival."
Seth Cowles
"Seth Cowles is a Boston-born comic who started doing stand-up after he moved to Texas and graduated college. With his mother being Jewish and his father Catholic, Seth has developed an interesting outlook on religion and the world around him. He provides unique social commentary and an array of stories from his life that need to be heard to be believed."
