MUSIC - DANCING - PARTYING - CELEBRATING TREASURE VALLEY BLUES BANDS & THE HISTORY OF BLUES IN BOISE!
Boise Blues Society releases its brand new CD compilation in celebration of its 25 years of bringing the best in blues to Boise and Southern Idaho. This CD, produced by BBS co-founder and KRBX Radio Boise host of Juke Joint blues show Norman Davis, features 18 tracks, one each by a different Treasure Valley blues band or artist who have donated their music to the fundraising project. Eight of those will be playing the Release Party. See playing list below.
Ticket buyers may purchase the CD for the special price of $!0 at the Release Party (regularly $!5). There's also a link for an extended bonus track by John Nemeth included in the CD.
Doors open at 6:30pm. Music from 7-11pm. Proceeds from the album and show go to support the non-profit work of Boise Blues Society, includng their popular Blues in the Schools program offered free-of-charge to area schools to promote and educate about the blues, and their youth scholarship program which offers financial support for young musicians to further their music education.
Come and enjoy the party with area musicians and lots of friends of the Boise Blues Society. The historic Mardi Gras Ballroom features a huge dance floor and lots of tables and chairs both near the stage and dance floor and in the separate full bar area, as well as food options. We'll be decorating in the style of our Silver Anniversary and the history of blues entertainment in Boise.
