BBB & Econ Club present Jordan Belfort – former “Wolf of Wall Street”
Monday, October 7, 2013 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM (EDT)
Grand Rapids, MI
What does the excess and greed of Wall Street really look and feel like? You will hear Jordan Belfort – the former “Wolf of Wall Street” as he describes his life of excess, drugs, drinking and other unsavory activities – driven by greed and corruption. After destroying his helicopter, a yacht, his marriage, and going through billions of money, and finally stopped by Federal agents - two years in a federal penitentiary encouraged him to look at life differently. Mr. Belfort will offer some good reasons why greed and corruption must be replaced with higher values and ethics in order for businesses to survive.
This exciting presentation will be followed by the 2013 Torch Awards which will be conferred on two exemplary businesses and one non-profit organization in West Michigan which have demonstrated a higher cultural focus, and an emphasis on something more than just profit.
Lunch at the JW Marriott is included.
