We have assembled a carefully selected and highly regarded cross section of panelists representing differing, yet vital insider perspectives on the importance of acquiring a company’s most vital asset: People.
This presentation will be heavy on the Q & A, with attendees encouraged to bring questions they’ve always wondered about, but did not have the right person to ask. Material will be made specific to trends and issues in the Bay Area, but can be applied to nearly any geography or employer. For example:

Margaret brings over 20 years of venture and corporate finance and operational management to the BOKU team. Most recently, Margaret co-founded Paymo and as CFO/COO, she was responsible for financial management of the company’s growth as well as for global operations. Prior to co-founding Paymo, Margaret was the CFO for mBlox, Inc, where she helped build the company into a leading mobile transaction network. Before her success in international mobile payments companies, Margaret was a Managing Director of SVB Securities, where she raised debt and equity capital, provided acquisition and divestiture advice, and underwrote structured financings for venture-backed clients. She began her career at Itel Corporation, a San Francisco-based equipment leasing company.

Erica has been a exempt level recruiter for 13+ years here in the bay area. I've recruited for all levels of positions within organizations. My background is both agency and in-house recruiting experience servicing a variety of industries. In addition, I help coach and mentor exempt level staff.
Larry is a Partner in TopGrading Solutions, a 30 year-old search firm focused on payments and retail technology companies. Larry manages the Payments area of the practice, with emphasis on small to medium size, high growth companies.
Larry started with a San Francisco-based search firm in 1997 before moving to Florida in 2002 and joining Topgrading Solutions as a Group Manager. He holds a BA in Psychology from George Washington University and has written numerous articles on talent acquisition and career planning.

SVP of Global Human Resources
Glenn serves as the Senior Vice President, Global Human Resources at Obopay and is responsible for all human resources activities worldwide. Glenn brings 25 years of experience in the banking and technology sectors to Obopay, including 15 years in the payments space, with assignments in the card issuing sector and the payment processing arena. Obopay provides consumers an interoperable mobile payments service by transforming any mobile phone into a convenient and easy way to send and receive money, get paid or pay small businesses, top-up accounts, buy via mobile and pay bills.
Prior to Obopay, Glenn led the global HR and Corporate Administration functions at TSYS Acquiring Services; before that, he held a senior level role at HSBC Credit Services, HSBC’s issuing business.
Glenn’s background includes working in start-up and high-growth environments where he has been responsible for the rapid ramp-up of the work force to meet the growth needs of the business. Glenn’s experience in large financial services enterprises, where he has been a part of the technology evolution, has provided him a broad perspective and expertise on the changes in the financial services marketplace.
VP Operations & Strategic Alliances
Daniel started his career more than twenty years ago as a pioneer of the Minitel, focusing on banking, telecommunication and media services. He is a serial entrepreneur and has launched several technology ventures within the EADS Group (Airbus, Ariane Espace, Eurocopter) and the Lagardere Group (Elle, Woman's Day, Car & Driver, Hachette, Canal Satellite).
Daniel graduated in 1982 from the University of France with master's degrees in physics and mathematics, and a specialty in semiconductors. He is on the advisory boards of several start-ups in the Silicon Valley and Europe. He is also a founder of BayPay, a Silicon Valley networking group specializing in payments.
