Welcome! We look forward to seeing you at the 16th Bay to Ocean Writers Conference 2013.. Your admission fee covers all conference sessions, a continental breakfast, networking lunch, and refreshments during the day.
Conference check in opens at 8:00 a.m. and continues until 9:00 a.m., in the Kent Humanities Building (located on the back side of the campus). When you arrive at the college, drive halfway around College Circle to the rear of the campus. Free parking is in front of the Kent Humanities & Cadby Theatre Building entrance. A continental breakfast will be available after your check in.
You will have the opportunity to select up to five sessions from 30 programs during the day. Each session or workshop is one hour, in new classrooms with 15-minute breaks between. Just walk to the classroom of your speaker choice. While classrooms have capacity limits, there are enough topics that you should be able to select most of your first choices. Descriptions of the sessions and speaker biographies are on the website www.baytoocean.com and will be listed in the Program as you check in.
Just a reminder that no children are permitted, and no pets are allowed, except service animals.
There are no refunds unless you cancel your registration before February 02, 2013. If the conference is cancelled due to adverse weather conditions, you will be reimbursed for part of the fee (please visit the website for additional details). Payment will be made within 60 days of cancellation.

The Bay To Ocean Writers Conference is a one-day nonprofit conference that has attracted and motivated more than 2,000 writers over its history. Attendees come from surrounding states and the District of Columbia as well as throughout the Chesapeake Bay and Delmarva region. The conference is sponsored by the Eastern Shore Writers Association, a nonprofit organization of writers from across the tri-state Delmarva Peninsula.

Our mission is to inform, encourage, and inspire writers of all levels, from beginners to published authors. We strive to share helpful knowledge and experiences among writers about every facet of writing.
The BTO conference features workshops, presentations, and panel discussions on a wide variety of topics pertaining to the craft of writing, publishing, marketing, the Internet, and the intricacies of particular genres. It is an opportunity to meet with many writing peers in the region. Speakers include accomplished authors, poets, film writers, writing instructors, editors, and publishers.
BTO also offers one-on-one manuscript reviews with experienced writing instructors and editors for registered attendees for a fee. See our Manuscript page for details.
