Best Practices for Planning Curriculum for Young Children

Family Partnerships and Culture

Join us at our Network Meeting/Mini-conference to learn about current research and evidence-based resources to support high quality planning and developmentally appropriate instruction in early childhood settings!

 

Come and explore the CDE’s new publication, Best Practices for Planning Curriculum for Young Children: Family Partnerships and Culture – a resource designed to assist early childhood professionals in developing cultural competence when working with diverse children and families.

 

 

During this training, participants will:

  • Review the components and structure of the Best Practices for Planning Curriculum for Young Children: Family Partnerships and Culture.
  • Discuss how to utilize and apply information from Best Practices for Planning Curriculum for Young Children: Family Partnerships and Culture.
  • Reflect upon and share about personal culture influences in the early childhood setting.

 

Each participant will receive a free copy of this

 

valuable resource to bring back to their program

Contra Costa County Office of Education and Bay Region 4 California Preschool Instructional Network

The purpose of the California Preschool Instructional Networks is to provide consistent and high quality professional development for preschool administrators and teachers. Bay Region 4 serves Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, and Solano counties. Professional development will consist of current research and information, resources, and best practices, which are focused on the educational component of school readiness for all children, aged three to five, including English learners and children with disabilities. Our content focuses on the domains included in the California Preschool Learning Foundations, California Preschool Curriculum Frameworks and Preschool English Learners: Principles and Practices to Promote Language, Literacy and Learning.
