New Module!

Integrated STEM in Early Childhood

Join us at our Network Meeting/Mini-conference to learn about current research and evidence-based resources to support high quality planning and developmentally appropriate instruction in early childhood settings!

Using CDE's new document, Best Practices for Planning Curriculum for Young Children: The Integrated Nature of Learning, we will focus on a play-based and integrated approach to learning in the following areas:

            • Science
            • Technology/Tools
            • Engineering
            • Math

  During this training, participants will:

  • Define STEM components in an early childhood classroom.
  • Experience dynamic planning for developmentally appropriate STEM environments and interactions/conversations.
  • Learn how this approach includes universal design for learning and explore how this approach supports dual language learners.
