Bay Nature Talks: River Otters
Event Information
About this Event
Join Megan Isadore, Co-Founder and Executive Director of River Otter Ecology Project and Deputy North American Coordinator of the IUCN/SSC Otter Specialist Group, for an inspiring presentation about the important role that community science played in changing the range map for river otters in California.
Learn how Megan and a group of other interested scientists crowdsourced otter sightings and galvanized a community science movement and join the discussion about why and for whom this research is important.
We'll end the program with a fascinating series of photos and videos—how do otters behave when we're not looking, and how do they interact with other animals? Plus, come with your otter questions at the ready for a Q&A with Megan.
This event is open to all with a suggested (but not required) donation of $20. After registering, you will receive an Eventbrite confirmation email with instructions on how to access the webinar through Zoom.
