Event description

Description

The Solstice marks the darkest day of the year, a time to reflect on the past, present, and future. In the candlelight, we will share an evening of song and story expressing our troubles, our triumphs, our hopes, and our worries.

Last year, more than one hundred people in the Bay came together to celebrate the Solstice. This year, we will carry on the tradition. Join us to celebrate humanity and the light we bring to a universe too often dark.

The Solstice covers some dark themes: death, hardships worse than death, and other problems in this universe. The themes are typically Humanist and Transhumanist, and the general audience tends to be those who have found the site Less Wrong interesting, or care a lot about making our future better.
