About this event

The End of Isolation Tour (EIT) is a traveling theater performing "The Box", a play to raise awareness about solitary confinement and the inhumanity of prisons. "The Box" will open in the Bay Area early September, and then the tour is scheduled to perform in St. Louis, Detroit, Fayetteville (Arkansas) and New Orleans throughout September-October.

The End Isolation Tour is being hosted by the Pulitzer Center. We’ve hired the cast, (nearly half of whom are formerly incarcerated individuals) bought a bus and are outfitting it for the tour. We are continuing to raise funds for this ground-breaking arts-for-justice project. Donations are tax-deductible and both checks and card cards will be accepted.

Come hear from the play's creator Sarah Shourd, plus cast and crew members. We'll enjoy food and drink, and experience a restorative justice circle, similar to what will be provided to audiences throughout the tour.

Come ready to be inspired to learn more, to give generously, and help us hit the road!
