Event description

Description

The objective of the Florence Stroud Black History Month Conference Series is to educate, entertain, and enlighten participants regarding health and social inequality among people of African Heritage. Florence Stroud was a Nurse Trailblazer and Co-founder of the Bay Area Black Nurses Association, a local chapter of the National Black Nurses Association, Inc. Licensed participant will receive 6 continuing education units for participating. Continental breakfast and lunch will be provided. This conference is unique, while receiving education related to health disparities and the overall current state of Healthcare in America, participants will witness an entertaining Black History program. Joining in the electric slide is also common. You don't want to miss the opportunity to engage in an active discussion on change and hear how nurses can be more active. Our Keynote speaker, Dr. Joy DeGruy and Dr. Claudia Fegan are gauranteed to leave you wanting to do more.

Opportunities are available to showcase your health care or academic institution, and merchandise to participants.
