These folks aren't reading from cue cards: this is honest-to-badness story time with true sexcapades and poignant, transformational tales at each and every show. Join Sexual Folklorist Dixie De La Tour & hand-picked Rockstars as they share their own stories of Love, Lust, and making you feel funny in your bathing suit area. Hey, you may even go home with a few new tricks for your boudoir arsenal!

A REVIEW of Bawdy Storytelling : "Stories are powerful. No other medium has the ability to move, inspire, or change us quite like a well-crafted narrative. Never has this been more true than the world of sex, where fear, shame, and misinformation abound. This is all a high-minded and roundabout way of telling you to check out Thursday's edition of Bawdy Storytelling, a rousing and arousing night of true sex stories that promises to make you laugh, make you think, and make you hard ... pressed to find a more interesting thing to do on a Thursday night." - SF Weekly

Performer Bios:

Dixie De La Tour is a sexual folklorist, storyteller, entrepreneur, teacher, catalyst, coach, community builder, facilitator, & instigator (& that’s just for starters). She is the founder, curator & host of the award-winning sex and storytelling series, Bawdy Storytelling (“The nation’s original sex and storytelling series” – Playgirl, “The Moth for Pervs” – LA Weekly)

Called “a stiff shot of courage in a push-up bra”, Dixie is passionate about storytelling’s power to connect strangers. A former sex party producer & adult dating site community manager, she founded Bawdy Storytelling, a multi-city brand of sex-positive self advocacy that's changing the world and making our relationships more authentic and accessible. Dixie has presented and hosted at Yale Sex Week,’s Bondage Awards, the Jewish Community Center of San Francisco’s series ‘Uninhibited: About Sex’, CatalystCon Sexuality Conference, Dark Odyssey kink conferences, FetFest kink events, and more, as well as her home turf of the Bawdy Mainstage and BawdySlam shows. As a storyteller, Dixie’s stories can been heard on the Risk! podcast and her own Bawdy Storytelling podcast (which was selected by as a top 5 ‘Best Sex Podcast’) Ping her (she likes that) at @Bawdy, & at

❤ Over the past four years, Mia Torro has hatched out of her kinky egg. She revels in creating scenes that makes people uncomfortable whether from the top or bottom. She has a passion for sharing experiences in hopes that others will experiment and experience their own vast multitudes of kink and find many more ways to get hot and bothered.

Lexi Haack originally hails from a small town in northern Wisconsin, where she spent her early years torn between the exploring the wild splendor of her surroundings and exploring the depths of musty tomes. She remains a creature of contradiction, a lover of change, a pursuer of the new and the challenging.

Lexi began dabbling in comedy around early 2013, where she helped develop a burgeoning comedy scene in rural Wisconsin. During this time, she produced the Cold Clocked Comedy Hour for more than two years. She also performed at the Floodwater Comedy Festival two years running.

In 2016, she took her talents to the Pacific Northwest, where she has become a cornerstone of the Seattle queer comedy scene.

Summer Waldron comes by her storytelling genes honestly through her hillbilly roots and a long line of "big fish" storytellers. She took her first dive into storytelling with Kevin Allison's "Risk!" and has since shared endless parables knocking around her brain in the PNW; including Emmett Montgomery's Magic Hat and Weird & Awesome, BackFence PDX's Russian Roulette, and Kimball Allen's Triple Threat (where she received a warm review from Amanda Knox! #goals). Summer is thrilled to be invited back to Bawdy and clutch some pearls. You can find Summer on all social media and her number on any bathroom wall.

Harmony Eichsteadt is a community builder, poet, ex-dating coach, ex-digital nomad, Texas native cum proud Seattleite. She loves performing at Bawdy and has done so in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Oakland, and at various sundry conferences and other special events. In 2015 she was the LA Bawdy Storytelling Grand Slam Champion. When she’s not playing Bawdy Storyteller Collect-Em-All, she loves to ride her bike, hang out with her amazing community of weirdos and misfits, and teach heart-centered entrepreneurs how to build the kind of businesses where you can be your full self and do things like tell dirty stories on stage as a hobby.

creature hole is a garlic man & chikn cover band. best described as disturbing, yet catchy. this weird pop duo met in olympia, wa in 2011. they've been performing together ever since then throughout the PNW and even touring the US!

Bawdy Storytelling

Storytelling is about building a connection. So is sex.

For the past almost-12 years, Bawdy has featured true stories of sex, kink, body image, gender and more to build community and bring people together. We do regular live storytelling events in two cities, but that's just one way to enjoy Bawdy. Our podcast and YouTube channel are great ways to get your Bawdy fix, too.

Our live events feature an eclectic mix of authors, poets, comedians and actors – along with real people just like you - sharing their adventures in ten minutes or less, with no notes. This is honest-to-badness story time with true sexcapades and poignant, transformational tales at each and every show. Storytellers submit their material online and are chosen for their panache and sense of (mis)adventure. Dixie curates submitted stories, then works with experienced and first-time storytellers to create a one-of-a-kind evening for each and every Bawdy. Her coaching superpowers tease out surprisingly powerful stories of sex, kink or gender. Then at showtime, Dixie coaches the audience, too – creating an emotionally supportive, unintimidating, and sex-positive atmosphere that’s unique, engaging and fun. Add connecting games (like the ever-popular Bang-O) and you have a show that’ll be your new favorite social event EVER.

Come see what LA Weekly calls "The Moth for pervs" and meet new, open-minded people. Before you know it, you'll be wanting to share your stories, too.

Dixie is America's premier sexual folklorist. Once called “a stiff shot of courage in a push-up bra”, she is passionate about storytelling’s power to connect strangers. In addition to being the founder, curator, and host of the long-running Bawdy Storytelling series, Dixie is also an accomplished storytelling coach and offers workshops for anyone who wants to communicate better and inspire others, no matter what the subject matter. As a storyteller, Dixie’s own stories can been heard on the Risk! podcast and her own Bawdy Storytelling podcast. She is based in San Francisco and hosts live shows across the United States.
