Bawdy Storytelling features tales of Carnal Wins & Epic Fails with No Scripts, No Nets, and No Holds Barred. These folks aren't reading from cue cards: this is honest-to-badness story time with true sexcapades and poignant, transformational tales at each and every show. Join Sexual Folklorist Dixie De La Tour & hand-picked Rockstars as they share their own stories of Love, Lust, and making you feel funny in your bathing suit area. Hey, you may even go home with a few new tricks for your boudoir arsenal!

Performer Bios:

Buzz Yearling is a Bawdy SuperFan. She's been an audience member in SF, LA, and Seattle, and has plans to come out for the Chicago show in October. She's also a BawdySLAM winner. "Bawdy has not only gotten me laid, Bawdy changed my life!"

Baruch Porras Hernandez is a writer, actor, storyteller and organizer based in San Francisco. He has told stories all over the bay area and performed as a writer in NY, D.C., Canada and is published in several anthologies.

❤ Sexual Folklorist Dixie De La Tour has been welcoming newcomers to San Francisco’s sexual underground for over 20 years – from her grassroots beginnings (creating, volunteering for and managing sex positive events), to producing private parties, to writing about sex/dating to teaching workshops to finding her true passion, sex and storytelling. She founded Bawdy Storytelling, (the Nation’s original sex and storytelling series featuring Real People & Rockstars) a mere 10 years ago because she knew that storytelling connects people deeply. Dixie wants to take Bawdy everywhere so that other cities can share their own stories and build sex-positive community, too. In addition to Bawdy Storytelling, she produces BawdySlam (a story slam with prizes and a chance to win the title of Dirtiest Storyteller in your city), she teaches workshops on storytelling, creates custom storytelling events, and lives to help you tell your story. Dixie is really excited to celebrate a decade of work in the world of story - it's her passion. Is there anything more inspirational than watching someone live their passion?! Find out more about Dixie at @Bawdy on Twitter, follow her on Facebook and come see her in your city – More info on Dixie & Bawdy at www.BawdyStorytelling.com

Tatyana Brown is a Bay Area-based writer, performer, and educator. She has toured nationally performing and facilitating workshops for the past four years. Her work has appeared on NPR's Snap Judgment and she has taught at Yale University, Indiana University, and Duke, among others. She cohosts the Oakland chapter of The New Shit Show (an open mic comprised entirely of new writing) and lives with people far, far sluttier than she can currently be.

Rachel Lark is a singer/songwriter who sings about Sex, Drugs, heartbreak, and Messy Apartments. An up-and-coming San Francisco artist with a die-hard cult following, Rachel Lark has quickly become the musical muse of the sex-positive revolution. Her music has been featured on The Savage Lovecast, and she performs frequently San Francisco counterculture haunts like Bawdy Storytelling and Tourette's Without Regrets. Her music is always lyrically based with a strong foundation of passionate songwriting, while the timbres vary depending on the performance. Sometimes she's bantering with the crowd over some ukulele plucking, and at other times she'll be behind her laptop and synthesizers creating dance beats to accompany her layered vocal harmonies. In 2014 she released her debut EP, "I Wouldn't Worry" followed by her first full-length album, "Lark After Dark," and her Christmas album "Hung For The Holidays." In 2015 she successfully funded a music video and new album through a Kickstarter campaign and has just released both her new album, "Vagenius" and her new music video for the song Warm, Bloody, and Tender. Find her music (and videos) at RachelLark.com

Bawdy Storytelling

ABOUT BAWDY STORYTELLING

Storytelling is about building a connection. So is sex.

For over 12 years, Bawdy has featured true stories of sex, kink, body image, gender and more to build community and bring people together. We do regular live storytelling events in two cities, but that's just one way to enjoy Bawdy. Our podcast and YouTube channel are great ways to get your Bawdy fix, too.

Our live events feature an eclectic mix of authors, poets, comedians and actors – along with real people just like you - sharing their adventures in ten minutes or less, with no notes. This is honest-to-badness story time with true sexcapades and poignant, transformational tales at each and every show. Storytellers submit their material online and are chosen for their panache and sense of (mis)adventure. Dixie curates submitted stories, then works with experienced and first-time storytellers to create a one-of-a-kind evening for each and every Bawdy. Her coaching superpowers tease out surprisingly powerful stories of sex, kink or gender. Then at showtime, Dixie coaches the audience, too – creating an emotionally supportive, unintimidating, and sex-positive atmosphere that’s unique, engaging and fun. Add connecting games (like the ever-popular Bang-O) and you have a show that’ll be your new favorite social event EVER.

Come see what LA Weekly calls "The Moth for pervs" and meet new, open-minded people. Before you know it, you'll be wanting to share your stories, too.
