About Bawdy Storytelling:
Bawdy Storytelling – the Original Sex + Storytelling series - is a curated storytelling experience. For over EIGHT YEARS, we've featured Real People & Rockstars sharing their Bona Fide Sexual Exploits Live Onstage; think of us as an award-winning One Night Stand with the Moth & Savage Love. Storytellers are an eclectic mix of Authors, Porn Stars, Sex Educators, Comics & More, along with Regular Joes just like you who submitted their true stories online and were chosen for their panache and sense of (Mis)Adventure.

Bawdy Storytelling features tales of Carnal Wins & Epic Fails with No Scripts, No Nets, and No Holds Barred. These folks aren’t reading from cue cards: this is honest-to-badness story time with true sexcapades and poignant, transformational tales at each and every show. Join Sexual Folklorist Dixie De La Tour & sex-positive Locals as they share their own stories of Love, Lust, and making you feel funny in your bathing suit area.

Hey, you may even go home with a few new tricks for your boudoir arsenal!

Performer Bios:

- Born in a cornfield in Nebraska, and raised by young parents on top of a mountain somewhere in suburban Colorado,young-ish writer and storyteller Summer Waldron would like to thank all of her childhood bullies for the great writing material, as well as awkward sexual encounters and a wild fantasy life that plays out in her head while she works for the man. When not writing or telling stories, this young-ish woman enjoys spending time chasing other creative ideas such as starting a podcast and crocheting that blanket she started in high school and hopes to finish one day.

- Sugar was raised in the ultra conservative, ultra dusty mountains of Northern Arizona. She moved to the big bad Pacific Northwest about 10 years ago and when she scored a job at a sex toy store she knew she’d found her true calling as a professional dildo slinger. She also dabbles in burlesque and is a regular with Morgue Anne’s Villainess Cabaret and Lily Divine’s Debauchery. She wants everyone to know she is a Taurus that likes tea, tall socks and chocolate truffles.

- Danielle K.L. Gregoire is a recent Canadian transplant to Seattle. She is a comedian and an arts enthusiast. In April, 2013 she created the Comedy Womb, a female focused but not exclusive comedy open mic and showcase that emphasizes the importance of gender equality and jokes and happens twice every Tuesday night. She is a stay at home parent, former spoken word poet, ex-college radio deejay, nature lover, quasi-musician, gardner, and sometime potter. She has a not-so-secret crush on the city of Seattle, and likes to accept all the adventures it throws her way.

- A Seattle-based comedian, writer and comic book reader, Elicia Sanchez has been performing all over the West Coast since 2010. Her self-deprecating, yet upbeat comedic style, described by The Capitol Hill Times as, "...madcap tales of social incompetence," includes a mix of personal stories, nerdy obsessions, social politics and accidental overshares. Writer/activist Lindy West has called her, "...a grumpy nugget of delight," while Grammy Award winning singer/song-writer Kimya Dawson (The Moldy Peaches, Juno) has cited Elicia as her 'favorite underground Pacific Northwest comedian.' Comedians/writers and stars of Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell, W. Kamau Bell and Hari Kondabolu have both simply referred to her as, "the truth.”

- Jazz Goldman is an artist, sex educator and activist. A recent transplant from NYC, Jazz is thrilled to be in the Emerald City which always makes her think of the wizard of oz and want to sing--very convenient! Will and Jazz have been singing together since they met over 2 years ago and are thrilled to share their eclectic musical theater, rock n' roll stylings with you all!

- DJ, producer, songwriter, and lover of groovy sound William Darling has been on the scene in NYC since ----insert mid 2000s pop culture reference here----. He's a recent transplant to the Emerald City and has finally sated his love of women in hiking boots. He's been seen here in town at various venues including The CanCan, El Corazon and The Park Pub. For an eclectic jumble of original tunes and live sets by Mr Darling check out soundcloud.com/william-darling23

Your Host:
– Sexual Folklorist Dixie De La Tour founded Bawdy Storytelling almost 8 years ago as a way to encourage real connection in San Francisco’s sexual underground. Recognized nationally for its groundbreaking format (and requested from cities all over the world: “Dixie is the Tyler Durden of DIrty Storytelling. Her Fight Clubs are everywhere!”), It’s now a multi-city live storytelling event in San Francisco, Los Angeles and Seattle that welcomes true stories from any and all communities (LGBT, kink, polyamory, swingers, and more). Dixie has hosted and curated the Bondage Awards, numerous Sexuality Conferences, Bawdy’s curated and slam shows, and coaches storytelling workshops throughout the West Coast. She is lauded as “a masterful emcee, and her show is everything that works for storytelling—she creates a warm, safe space in which stories can bloom with dark hilarity, salacious textures, and moments of deep connection.”
