Performer Bios:

Dixie De La Tour is a sexual folklorist, storyteller, entrepreneur, teacher, catalyst, coach, community builder, facilitator, & instigator (& that’s just for starters). She is the founder, curator & host of the award-winning sex and storytelling series, Bawdy Storytelling (“The nation’s original sex and storytelling series” – Playgirl, “The Moth for Pervs” – LA Weekly)
Called “a stiff shot of courage in a push-up bra”, Dixie is passionate about storytelling’s power to connect strangers. A former sex party producer & adult dating site community manager, she founded Bawdy Storytelling (a multi-city brand of sex-positive self advocacy that's changing the world and making our relationships more authentic and accessible) over 10 years ago to build community & unite strangers - oh, and it'll probably get you laid, to boot. We've been doing that successfully for a decade!
As a storyteller, Dixie’s own dating stories can been heard on the Risk! podcast and her own Bawdy Storytelling podcast (which was selected by as a top 5 ‘Best Sex Podcast’) Ping her (she likes that) at @Bawdy, & at

Kristin Pedemonti is an award-winning Cause-Focused Storyteller, Speaker, Presentation Skills Coach and author. She was honored to be a finalist in TED Talks Talent Search. Kristin currently serves as a Storytelling Consultant and is one of the highest rated facilitators at the World Bank in Washington DC where she trains staff to tell the human stories behind the data. Kristin has performed and presented in 20 countries on 4 continents, her favorites so far Iran and Kenya. Kristin sold her home and most possessions in 2005 to create and facilitate a volunteer literacy project in Belize where she donated programs for 33,000 students and trained 800 teachers how to use their own cultural stories in their schools. She is the author of three books, most recently: A Bridge of Stories: Risking it all to Connect Classrooms and Cultures in Belize. She is passionate about creating safe spaces for people to share stories that need to be given voice and firmly believes every story matters; when we share our stories we heal not only ourselves but others too. Oh and she has a pink trike she rides around the streets of Washington DC, yes, you are welcome to ride too!

Bambi Galore is a human cannonball of filth and glitter. For over the last 10 years she has been subverting gender and sexuality through burlesque, drag and theater. Starting off in DC and then traveling the the bright lights of New York City, she is now a staple performer to the Baltimore scene, hosting a biweekly drag brunch at El Bufalo. Bambi has just recently won Best Drag Performer from the City Paper but the best title she has received has been the one of mom which she earned earlier this year. She is truly a chameleon of tease.
Jessica VonDyke is a curvy, pervy, queer femme who won't apologize for speaking up and acting out. She is a sex educator an advocate and a domestic goddess. She owns and runs Freed Bodywork a holistic wellness center, focusing on serving marginalized communities, in D.C., with her wife.

Rachel Lark is a San Francisco based singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Her music has been featured on The Savage Lovecast and and she tours regularly throughout the U.S. and Europe. She was signed last year to not a cult records with the studio album, They've Done Studies, released in Spring 2017. She debuted a new show at DNA Lounge that she successfully funded through a Kickstarter campaign, and just finished touring with a full band as Rachel Lark and the Damaged Goods. Find out more about Lark at, & at @rachellarkmusic
Winner of SFist's Best Storytelling Show of 2016, the SF Weekly’s Best of San Francisco & the LA Weekly’s Best Of Los Angeles (for Best Storytelling) & 2 Time Winner of the SF Bay Guardian’s Best of the Bay Award (Best Literary Event)

Bawdy Storytelling

Storytelling is about building a connection. So is sex.

For over ten years, Bawdy Storytelling has featured true stories of sex, kink, body image, gender and more to build community and bring people together. We do regular live storytelling events in two cities, but that's just one way to enjoy Bawdy. Our podcast and YouTube channel are great ways to get your fix, too.

Our live events feature an eclectic mix of authors, poets, comedians and actors – along with real people just like you - sharing their adventures in ten minutes or less, with no notes. This is honest-to-badness story time with true sexcapades and poignant, transformational tales at each and every show. Storytellers submit their material online and are chosen for their panache and sense of (mis)adventure. Dixie curates submitted stories, then works with experienced and first-time storytellers to create a one-of-a-kind evening for each and every Bawdy. Her coaching superpowers tease out surprisingly powerful stories of sex, kink or gender. Then at showtime, Dixie coaches the audience, too – creating an emotionally supportive, unintimidating, and sex-positive atmosphere that’s unique, engaging and fun. Add connecting games (like the ever-popular Bang-O) and you have a show that’ll be your new favorite social event EVER.

Come see what LA Weekly calls "The Moth for pervs" and meet new, open-minded people. Before you know it, you'll be wanting to share your stories, too.
